Dr. Festus Ogunmola

Chairman/Trustee

Festus is a Chartered Accountant and has worked as a Financial Consultant for her Majesty the Queen Mother of England at the Queen Nursing Institute and Queen Nursing Fund. Prior to this, Festus worked in Nigeria as Senior Auditor in international Merchant Bank and Chief Inspector of Peoples Bank and later as Regional Head of the Bank covering nine states in the Northern Nigeria. In 2004 at Barclays Bank, Festus reconciled the accounting record that led to the recovery of 14 million  pounds. In recognition of his effort, he was sponsored for his MBA at the University of Manchester Business School. Festus has been headhunted to train and implement risk management and compliance process across Europe, Middle East, and Africa for different organisations including Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Deposit insurance Corporation, Wema Bank Plc, Cummins Inc (An American Multinational Company), Royal Bank of Scotland, Sprit Inc (An Aeroplane manufacturing Company in Glasgow Prestwick). He has served as Special Adviser and consultant on revenue and budget to the Chief Executive Officer, Perth and Kinross Council, Senior Consultant, Lloyds Tsb, and Senior Consultant Bank of Scotland. Festus was among the first Global set of consultants that implemented Sarbanes Oxley and controls and ensure its compliance in Europe, Middle East and Africa for comp ones listed on American Stock Exchange. 

The first Chief Executive of Greatway Foundation (A voluntary organisation registered by the Scottish Government to work on youth empowerment and poverty alleviation). The organisation also co - ordinates the annual conference on War Against Poverty in collaboration with Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce and University of Edinburgh. He is the first President and Chief Executive of Scottish Council of African Churches (An established executive body that works in partnership with the Scottish government, different religious organisation, agencies and institutions of learning). In 2017, he received commendation letter from the United Nations for an outstanding presentation at a global entrepreneurship summit in Rwanda. Festus has an MBCI from the Business Continuity Institute. He is a Fellow of The Centre For African Policy Development and Research Scotland (FCAPDR) and also a member of Harvard School of Divinity summer leadership program.

Festus holds a PhD. in finance from California State East Bay University.
